hmmm good question. But i think im going to have to say no. Because as humans, our hearts are corrupt. So as much as we desire to do good and what pleases God, our humanness pulls us off track sometimes. I think we would just be a lot more screwed if His mercy and forgiveness was not so readily available.
It is our goal to live in his resurrecting power every moment of ever day so that we do our best to live a life that glorifies Him. But obviously that doesnt always happen either.
I couldnt be more thankful for grace. but do i think taking advantage of grace is wrong? Absolutely.
Interesting question. I think, personally, I would sin more. The fact that I can be forgiven and try again keeps me trying. If I weren't so easily forgiven, I might give up and make more bad choices out of a lack of hope.
Very good question Megs... Sometimes I think I would sin less and not take such advantage of God and my salvation. Other times I know that if God didn't so readily forgive me and accept me, I would be even more of a mess! I would have no hope. Kind of makes me think of our forgiveness for others. We are human, so the way we forgive is different than the way God forgives us. But do we readily forgive as often as we should???
hmmm good question.
