I read this on a very good friend of mine's blog today, and I hope she doesn't mind that I take a piece of her entry and post it here.

Mourning together, rejoicing together, praying together, accountability…the list is endless. Friendship is not all about what one person can do for or offer another person. Friendship is not supposed to be work. It is meant to be easy. Its an important bond that God trusts us with."
Wow, how incredibly true. While I don't think friendship is "a walk in the park" (aka = easy), I also don't think it's meant to be hard. Thank you, Sam, for never giving up on me or our friendship. You are truly an amazing person.

ReplyDeleteI want you to know that under NO circumstances will I EVER give up on you or our friendship. You always have been and always will be one of my greatest friends and you will always hold a special place in my heart. We have been through some pretty rough things together. We have also rejoiced together, prayed together, mourned together, and loved each other through it all. THANK YOU for your friendship. It is a gift that God blesses me with all the time. You are an amazing person and passion that you have for God inspires me. Friendship is not meant to be easy all the time, and you're right, its not meant to be hard all the time either. God trusts us with this gift and we are to cherish it and take care of it and pray over it.
