I am blessed.

I am beyond exhausted.  I even went to an online thesaurus trying to find a better word than exhausted, but nothing seems to really express how I'm feeling.  This past week was a blur - all I remember is working.  I put in almost 70 hours in the last 6 days, and while that will be nice once the paycheck comes, it's totally not worth it.  Working almost 12 hours a day isn't fun in any way, shape, or form.

Yesterday afternoon after getting off work I joined 128 7th-12th grade students for our InHouse retreat at our church.  Let me just be honest for a second and say I was half tempted to not go.  After working so much the past week, spending the entire night with lots of highschool students didn't sound too appealing to me.  I set that aside and went, and of course am glad I did.  Last night was spent having incredible worship, spending time face down on my knees before my maker, and bonding with some incredible 8th grade girls.  We talked, played some guitar hero, laughed, and most importantly - spent time in the Word.  Oh yeah, and watched a movie that I fell asleep to, of course.  :)  These girls are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and I am so blessed to be their leader.  Even though I only got a couple hours of sleep and will definitely pay for it this next week as I work another 70 hour week... it was all worth it.  (By the way - there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I have 3 people hired and they start this week in training, and will be at my branch by the end of next week.  Yay!)

To my small group girls, if you're reading this.... thank you for being in my life and blessing me so incredibly much.

Bragging rights.

This morning I went to the gym, weighed myself, and found that I have officially hit the 70 pound weight loss mark.  I am proud to say that I am now a size smaller than I was on our wedding day and feel terrific!  I am pretty content with where I am right now and hope to just maintain this weight forever.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement! :)

Journal Entry - 2.29.08

I want a friendship.  I don't want a second marriage, I don't want a casual facebook friend, I want a friendship.  I want someone that I know no matter what life throws at us, that she will be right next to me.  I want to feel like I make this person better because I'm in her life.  I want to laugh when we're together - I want to see her smile when we're together.  I want someone that I can talk to about the most trivial things to the biggest life decisions.  There will be days that we go without talking, but the time that we do talk, I want to cherish.  I want to look forward to being together.  I want to do life together.  I want to go through the rollercoasters of life together supporting eachother and holding on tight when it gets scary.  I want a constant in the ever changing life we live.

I miss you too.

Bored?

Oh my word - I am so addicted to this.

Here's the rules: play 3 rounds, and post your highest score.

Now you know what I do when I'm working 12 hours a day and do less than 10 transactions ALL.DAY.LONG.

--------

Kari tagged me!  :)

1.  While at Starbucks, I order either a Iced Grande Non-Fat Mocha.  It's yummy, and low-fat!  Only 2.5 points!

2. I've always wondered why American flags are backwards on the exterior of airplanes. I've asked my husband this, since he works on planes, but he doesn't know either.  Strange, eh?

3. My family had a chicken farm growing up. I hated having to feed them everyday, because you always stepped in poop. It was yellow and it ruined my favorite pair of shoes.

4. I don't have a green thumb at all, and I don't really enjoy planting flowers. This past summer, I let all of my flowers die on purpose, because I got sick of watering them.  We have a few plants in our house, and my husband takes care of all of them.

5. I am slightly obsessed with the following: Longaberger baskets, PartyLite candles, Stampin' Up items, and BKE jeans.

6. The reason I never wear lip gloss or lipstick is because I'm self-conscious about my teeth.  Now that I have braces, I still don't wear anything on my lips, but I vow to after my braces come off.  :)  I'll be sportin' my straight teeth!

7. When I was 4 or 5, my Mom was ironing and went upstairs to hang clothes. I got on a chair, and wanted to get the wrinkles out of my hands, so I decided to iron my hand. Once the iron fell onto my fingers, I wasn't strong enough to lift it off so it severely burned my hand.  I still have scars on 3 out of 5 of my fingers on my left hand. My mom still feels bad about that.  (it's okay Mom!)  :)

And I don't have 7 people to tag, but here's a few... I am going to tag:
Samantha - Stephanie - Grace - Kristal - Bryn

 HAVE FUN!!!
(And hopefully this is a little motivation to set up a blog if you haven't already - so you can participate in fun "blog games" like this one!)  :)
