It was a tough session with young boys who did NOT want anything to do with taking pictures, but we managed to get a few.
Of course, one of those 3 is our Christmas card photo so you won't be seeing that one for a while. :)
I spent almost 3 hours last night trying to choose a Christmas card, and then second guessing my decision afterwards. I am the most indecisive person about the most ridiculous things!

I am trying to figure out how to consolidate my list this year... I feel like if I've sent you a card for the last 7 years and NEVER gotten one in exchange, it makes it hard to not cut you from my list. I know that sounds vain and silly, but c'mon people!
So tell me, how do you do it?
Well! I decide by closing my eyes, opening a phone book and just placing my finger randomly and those people get cards!

Yes, I send cards every year. I used to have a great list that worked. It was from our wedding and since that's almost 9 years old... I've decided that this year I will revise that a bit.

We usually send about 40 to 60... depends if I want to cut people or not. :)

ReplyDeleteI ordered 60 cards this year - my list had 55 ppl and I ordered an extra 5 in case I forgot anyone, and of those, I've only got 2 left. Chad's family is GIANT (10 aunts/uncles on one side, 13 on the other) so I leave out everyone in his family other than his parents, brothers, and grandparents. If I sent one to everyone in his family, I'd send over 200 cards. 0_o

ReplyDeleteWe just do immediate family and a few close friends. I only ordered 25 this year and paid like $30 with shipping and thought that was a little ridiculous so I can't imagine I'll ever order any more than that ;)
Maybe once u know the ppl on your list that u snail mail to get theirs, u can follow through with a blog Christmas letter and picture or send an email in an attachment. That way everyone still feels the love even if u don't hae enough to do in the mail!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! I send out about 40 cards. My family isn't big on Christmas cards, so that cuts out A LOT of people. On my side, just parents, grandparents, and siblings get them. Otherwise it would be closer to 120.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! I loooove your outfit, I would never be able to pull off that color, but it looks gorgeous on you! I send cards to our family, and since that is HUGE, I dont do much beyond that! I think I include like 4 friends on our list, because they send us one every year so I think we should reciprocate.
