Survival guide.

I've heard a lot of marriage advice over the last 6 1/2 years Tyler and I have been married.
Some of my favorite's that stick out above the others...

Every single day you must make the choice to love your spouse with 100% of you -- no matter what you receive in return.

Never let the word divorce cross your lips... it is never an option, so why make the threat.

Spend time apart every once in a while.  As much as you love your spouse, a girls night or evening alone at a coffee shop will do wonders for your marriage!

Eat together + pray together = stay together.

What about you -- is there any advice you've received that you'll never forget?

  1. My old co-worker gave me the advice to always remember his heart when I'm angry/upset--did he intentionally not take out the trash after I asked, or did he fully intend to and just forgot? I find that it's much easier for me to move past the latter and remembering intent helps me give him some grace more readily!

  2. Love these! We always kiss each other goodbye when we leave each other and goodnight. Even if we're mad and it's just a little peck, we always manage to sneak one in :)

  3. We have a rule to not discuss anything heavy after 9pm. Nothing good can come from deep conversations that late at night. ;)
